Liz Glazer

Tradish

When Orthodox day-school educated, late 30’s, lesbian standup comedian Liz Glazer marries a Reform rabbi, Liz becomes the poster child for a different kind of Rebbetzin: botching Challah recipes (okay fine she’s never even tried to make it herself), forgetting congregants’ names (as if she ever knew them!), and invariably putting her foot in her mouth while speed-reading shmoneh esreh, or as they over-enunciate it, the Ahhhh-Meeeee-Dahhhhhh! Tradish is a comedy about Judaism, and more broadly about what it means to be part of a community, religious or…whatever.

Liz Glazer is a standup comedian, writer, and actor who used to be a tenured law professor, a job she was very funny at. Liz's comedy derives from her life as a lesbian mom, rebbetzin, and daughter of her very Jewish mother.
